NOTES - THE SMALLEST UNIT OF A PIECE OF MUSIC

What is a note in music ??
    -   A note is a "sound wave' of a particular frequency . A note is the smallest unit & the              fundamental building unit of a music piece.
A note lies between the audible frequency range of human ear i.e. 20 hz to 20 khz.                However there is no such instrument (as i can think of right now) that plays in 10-15-            20 KHz range. There is no such.So we will remained focus within 100-1000 Hz notes            as long as you are playing an instrument like guitar ukulele, bass, piano, flute, drums or            singing or whatever.

  •    How a note become the smallest unit ?
   -   A note is a sound wave of a single frequency. There is no other frequency .So we                  cannot find any other thing in a single note.

  •  How a music is created by notes ?
   -    Music can be created in countless way but every-time one thing remains same
i.e. by playing some notes ... either individually or together or in some other ways.

  •    Does every frequency of sound mean a note ?
   -   NO. Only specific frequencies .. Example - 220 Hz,233 Hz,247 Hz
therefore playing a frequency say 228 hz is not a note . So your music will be out of              tune.

  •    How different notes are named ?
   -   Notes are declared by some of the English alphabets. We will discuss about 'notes                 nomenclature' in the next post.
